In our range, a Wendy house describes the type of structure and its intended use—not one specific exterior material. Our two main options are Nutec fibre cement and log / pine timber.

That gives you a choice of exterior appearance and construction rate while keeping the purpose of the building in mind. A single garden room and a multi-room residential layout will need different specifications.

Bedroom and bathroom doors can be provided where required by the layout.
Ceiling and internal wall finishing
Ceiling, drywall and insulation can form part of the residential specification.
Interior and exterior finishing
Nutec structures can be painted. Log / pine structures can be stained, varnished or painted.
Roofing options
Pitched and flat-roof designs are available depending on the project.

Kitchen cupboards are not automatically included in the square-metre rate and are quoted separately.

Built-in bedroom cupboards are quoted separately where requested.

Which is better: Nutec or log / pine?
It depends on your preferred appearance, budget and maintenance preferences. Nutec provides a fibre-cement exterior; log / pine provides a timber appearance and can also be painted. Can you build a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom Wendy house?
Yes. The total floor area can be divided into bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, lounge and other spaces according to the selected design. See our 2 bedroom Wendy house options for that configuration.
Can a Wendy house have a bathroom and kitchen?
Yes. Bathroom plumbing for a shower, toilet and basin, kitchen plumbing and electrical installation can be included in the project specification. Kitchen cupboards are separately quoted unless specifically included in the approved quotation.

The standard construction method is on poles or stilts with a timber floor. A concrete slab foundation can be assessed and quoted separately when that option is selected.
Does every Wendy house need municipal plans?
